“Batter Up!” with Mayfair Manor

I’ll begin our continuing coverage of our Staycations by using the words of a wise man, “A hot dog at the ballgame beats roast beef at the Ritz.” – Humphrey Bogart.

Residents and staff from Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation, Signature HealthCARE of Georgetown, and Mayfair Manor probably agree as well! We all shared a fun day at the ballpark watching the minor league team, the Lexington Legends, play against the Lakewood Blueclaws.

The team even pulled out a win in the very last inning! What a nail biter! The crew enjoyed eating hot dogs and other junk food while enjoying the beautiful weather. The mascot “Big L” even paid us a special visit to our suites! He posed with the staff and residents, and left lasting impressions on us all.

Apparently our crowd was a talkative bunch because we missed our “Signature Healthcare Shout Out,” but we made up for it when one of our stakeholders won pizza for being the best dancers in the crowd.

There’s nothing like socializing in the sunshine, eating hot dogs, and watching America’s Favorite Past Time! Thanks to all who participated!
